Rubber-like TPU provides a tough, compliant cover that helps reduce brittle cracking and cushions the connector face during handling.
The internal clearance is intended to suit MCBH-style male or female connectors from 2-pin through 8-pin configurations.

The MCDBS-FS is a clearance-fit blanking cap intended for temporary protection of connector faces and contact areas. Dimensions are nominal and suitable for the specified connector family and print process.

TPU 95A is selected for flexibility, toughness and handling durability where a rigid printed plastic would be less forgiving.
TPU 95A has a firm rubber-like feel with good resilience, abrasion resistance and tear resistance for repeated fitting and removal.
The polymer body does not corrode and is suitable for normal offshore storage, workshop handling and occasional saltwater or moisture exposure.
Suitable for intermittent outdoor use. For best service life, store out of unnecessary long-term direct UV exposure when not fitted.
Fit and remove by hand only. Clean the connector face before installing and inspect the connector before mating.
Remove grit, salt, moisture and handling debris from the connector before fitting the cap.
Fit squarely over the connector body using hand pressure only. Do not force if resistance is excessive.
Leave fitted during transport, storage and handling, then remove before electrical mating or operational use.
